How to Play Brawl Stars on PC: Step-by-Step Guide (2026)

How to Play Brawl Stars on PC: Step-by-Step Guide (2026)

Brawl Stars is built for phones, but plenty of players want to play it on a bigger screen with a mouse and keyboard. Supercell hasn’t released a native Windows or Mac version, so the two ways to play on a computer are Google Play Games for PC (if Brawl Stars is listed there for you) or a trusted Android emulator. Either way, you keep all your progress by linking Supercell ID.

Before you start: link Supercell ID on your phone

Do this first so your brawlers, gems and trophies follow you to the PC:

  1. Open Brawl Stars on your phone.
  2. Tap the menu (☰) > Settings.
  3. Under Supercell ID, tap Connect and sign in or register with your email.
  4. Confirm with the verification code.

Your account is now saved to Supercell ID and can be loaded on any device.

Option 1: Google Play Games for PC (check first)

Google’s official Google Play Games app for Windows runs Android games natively, without a third-party emulator. Supercell already offers some of its other games there, but at the time of writing Brawl Stars hasn’t been in the PC catalogue for most players.

  1. Download Google Play Games from play.google.com/googleplaygames.
  2. Sign in with your Google account.
  3. Search for Brawl Stars.
  4. If it appears, click Install, launch it and log in with Supercell ID.

If it doesn’t appear, use Option 2.

Option 2: Play with an Android emulator

An emulator creates a virtual Android device on your PC. BlueStacks and LDPlayer are the most popular choices for Brawl Stars.

  1. Download the emulator only from its official website (bluestacks.com or ldplayer.net) to avoid bundled malware.
  2. Install and launch it.
  3. Sign in to Google Play inside the emulator with your Google account.
  4. Search for Brawl Stars and click Install.
  5. Open the game, go to Settings > Supercell ID and log in to load your account.

Recommended emulator settings

  • Performance: allocate 4 CPU cores and 4 GB RAM if your PC can spare them.
  • Frame rate: set 60 FPS (or higher if supported) for smoother aiming.
  • Virtualisation: enable VT-x / AMD-V in your BIOS if the emulator asks — it’s a big performance boost.
  • Controls: use the emulator’s key-mapping tool to place WASD on the movement stick, and map attack, Super and Gadget to mouse buttons or keys you can hit quickly.

Is it safe? Will I get banned?

Playing Brawl Stars through Google Play Games or a mainstream emulator just to use a bigger screen is widely done. What *will* get accounts banned is using modded APKs, private servers, macros or cheat tools. Install only from Google Play, don’t use third-party “boosters” or scripts, and keep your Supercell ID secure.

Playing on Mac

There’s no official Mac version either. BlueStacks offers a Mac build (BlueStacks Air) on Apple silicon Macs; on supported Macs you may also find Brawl Stars in the App Store as an iPad app. Availability varies, so check the App Store on your Mac first.

Troubleshooting

  • Game crashes on launch: update the emulator, enable virtualisation, and update your graphics drivers.
  • Lag or low FPS: close background apps, raise the emulator’s CPU/RAM allocation, and turn on high-performance mode.
  • Progress missing: you’re on a new guest account — open Settings > Supercell ID and log in with the email you linked on your phone.
